Iran Calls on Ships to Coordinate Passage for Safe Navigation in the Region

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that vessels wishing to pass “safely” through regional waterways should coordinate with Iranian authorities before transit.
Baghaei explained that this measure is part of what Tehran describes as efforts to “regulate maritime security,” stressing that cooperation and coordination could help prevent incidents or tensions in the area.
