Tornado Warning Issued for Williamstown, Corinth and Mason, Kentucky

A Tornado Warning is in effect for Williamstown, Corinth and Mason, Kentucky, until 4:45 p.m. EDT Tuesday, as a severe thunderstorm showing radar-indicated rotation moves through the area.

The warning also covers nearby communities and stretches along parts of the I-75 corridor.

Approximately 7,775 people, five schools and one hospital are within the warning area. No hail is expected, according to the National Weather Service warning graphic.

Residents in the affected area should take shelter immediately, preferably in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.
