Texas Couple Wins $41 Million Lottery Jackpot After 30 Years of Playing

A couple from Richardson has won a massive $41 million lottery jackpot after faithfully playing the Lotto Texas for 30 years without missing a single drawing.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven⁠ store in Mesquite in April.

The ticket matched all six winning numbers from the April 20 drawing: 21, 28, 33, 34, 43, and 44.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said the life-changing moment came when his wife checked the ticket and realized they had won. She woke him up with the news before calmly returning to sleep, while he stayed awake all night in shock.
“I stayed up all night thinking about it!” the winner said.

The couple told Texas Lottery officials they plan to use the money to help family members and travel the world. “There’s a whole world out there I need to see!” the winner added.
Meanwhile, Texas lottery officials are also searching for the winner of a separate $78 million jackpot from a November 2025 drawing.

The ticket was sold at Gordon’s Bait and Tackle in Brownsville, and the winner has until May 14 to claim the prize before the money returns to the state.
