Tornado Warning Continues for Elkhart, Mishawaka and Goshen, Indiana

A Tornado Warning continues for Elkhart, Mishawaka and Goshen, Indiana, until 1:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday, as a dangerous thunderstorm showing radar-indicated rotation moves through the region.

The updated warning area also includes Dunlap, Wakarusa, Nappanee, New Paris, Milford, Bremen, Bourbon, Leesburg, Mentone and surrounding communities.

Pea-sized hail is possible. Approximately 319,217 people, 80 schools and six hospitals are within the warning area, according to the National Weather Service graphic.

Residents should remain in shelter immediately, preferably in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.
