Garfield Heights police investigating ‘officer-involved shooting’

CLEVELAND, Ohio – State authorities are investigating a shooting involving a police officer in Garfield Heights.

Police responded to Hathaway Road for a call of a “potential suicidal male,” the department post on its Facebook. While there, multiple shots were fired.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was notified of the shooting at about 1:50 p.m., a spokesperson said.

It is not clear whether shots were fired at or by officers or if anyone was injured.
