One dead, one wounded after shooting in Gaithersburg, Maryland

One person is dead and another was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Friday afternoon.

Montgomery County police said they responded to the report of a shooting in the18300 block of Lost Knife Circle near Lost Knife Road.

While they were on the scene, police received a second call for a shooting in the next block and located an 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, police said.

Back at the original scene, officers found another shooting victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they do not know his age.

Police said so far they do not have a suspect in custody and they continue to investigate the shooting.
