At least 100 officers, 20 civilians injured in clashes near Mexico’s National Palace

At least 100 police officers and 20 civilians were injured during intense clashes around Mexico City’s National Palace earlier today, according to a government press briefing.

Officials also confirmed that 40 people have been detained following the unrest.

The situation has since been brought under control, but authorities say operations in the area remain active as investigations continue.
