Video: 24-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot Inside Manhattan Apartment Building, NYPD Investigating
A 24-year-old man was fatally shot inside an apartment building in Manhattan, New York, early Saturday morning, according to the New York City Police Department (NYPD).
Police said officers responded to a 911 call reporting a person shot at approximately 1:32 a.m. in the area of Macombs Place and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, within the confines of the 32nd Precinct.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the right eye. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The NYPD Force Investigation Division is leading the investigation, and authorities have not announced any arrests or identified a suspect. The circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting remain under investigation.
