FBI Offers $5,000 Reward in Cynthia Acevedo Disappearance and Possible Death in Arizona
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the indictment, arrest and conviction of those responsible for the disappearance and possible death of Cynthia Acevedo, who vanished from Laveen, Arizona, in August 2019.
Cynthia Acevedo missing since 2019
Acevedo was last believed to have been seen on or around August 15, 2019, walking near a cemetery in Laveen, according to the FBI.
Her mother reported her missing to the Gila River Police Department on August 31, 2019, after family members and others had not heard from her for approximately two weeks.
FBI considers circumstances suspicious
Investigators say the circumstances surrounding Acevedo’s disappearance and possible death appear suspicious.
Acevedo was born on October 12, 1979. The FBI describes her as Native American, with brown hair and brown eyes, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and 231 pounds, with a scar on her left cheek.

The FBI is offering up to $5,000 for information that results in the indictment, arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for her disappearance and possible death.
Authorities continue to seek information that could help determine what happened to Acevedo seven years after she disappeared.
