Fishers, Indiana Flooding Forces Evacuations on Wapahani Drive as 116th Street Closes

Fishers Police and Fire crews are evacuating residents along Wapahani Drive in Fishers, Indiana, as dangerous flooding continues across the area.
Authorities have also closed 116th Street near Eller Road because of high water and are asking people to stay away while emergency crews carry out evacuations.
Residents Urged to Avoid Flooded Areas
Police warned residents not to drive around road closures, barricades or traffic cones and asked people to stay away from the river and surrounding flooded areas.
The evacuations come as severe flooding continues across Hamilton County following exceptionally heavy rainfall.
White River Reaches Historic Level
The White River at nearby Noblesville reached 23.96 feet, surpassing a flood record that had stood since 1913.
Hamilton County remains under a state of emergency, with numerous roads closed and emergency crews continuing to respond to flooding across the region.
