Video: Flash Flood and Severe Thunderstorm Warnings Hit Denver as Torrential Rain Pounds Downtown

Torrential rain is pounding downtown Denver as the city comes under both a Flash Flood Warning and a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.
Heavy rainfall is rapidly reducing visibility and creating hazardous conditions across parts of the Denver metropolitan area.
The severe storms are capable of producing damaging wind gusts, hail and intense rainfall, while the flash flood threat raises concerns about quickly rising water on streets, underpasses and other low-lying locations.
Drivers are being urged to avoid flooded roads and never attempt to cross standing or moving water.
Residents should remain indoors and monitor emergency weather alerts as storms continue moving across the Denver area.
Conditions can deteriorate quickly where thunderstorms repeatedly move over the same locations, potentially causing additional flash flooding.
