Tornado Warning Issued for Gallipolis Ferry, Apple Grove and Crown City

A Tornado Warning is in effect for Gallipolis Ferry and Apple Grove, West Virginia, and Crown City, Ohio, until 12:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday, as radar indicates possible tornado development.

The warning covers parts of the Ohio–West Virginia border region, with pea-sized hail also possible.

Approximately 15,439 people and seven schools are within the warning area, according to the National Weather Service.

Residents in the affected area should take shelter immediately in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.
