Yazoo City woman arrested for interfering with shooting investigation involving son

YAZOO CITY, Miss. () – A Yazoo City woman has been arrested for interfering with a shooting investigation involving her son.
The Yazoo City Police Department announced Tuesday that Rhonda Hubbard, the mother of 16-year-old shooting suspect Darryn Love, was arrested. [READ: 16-year-old charged as adult after shooting in Yazoo City, police say] Police say the arrest came after an investigation into efforts to interfere with the ongoing criminal investigation involving her son.
During the investigation, Yazoo City Police investigators developed evidence that Hubbard attempted to get witnesses and citizens to provide false statements regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting involving Love.
Based on the evidence obtained during the investigation, investigators issued warrants for Hubbard on charges of tampering with a witness and hindering prosecution.
