Tornado Warning Issued for Biscoe, Robbins and Star, North Carolina Until 6:30 PM

BISCOE, N.C. — A tornado warning is in effect for Biscoe, Robbins, Star and surrounding areas of central North Carolina until 6:30 p.m. EDT Friday as a dangerous thunderstorm moves through the region.

The National Weather Service said the tornado threat is radar indicated, meaning rotation capable of producing a tornado has been detected by radar.

The warning area includes Biscoe, Star, Robbins and nearby communities, with approximately 17,600 people potentially exposed.

Pea-size hail is also possible with the storm.

Take Shelter Now

People inside the tornado warning area should move immediately to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.

Residents should remain sheltered and continue monitoring National Weather Service warnings until the threat has passed.
