Severe Thunderstorm Warning Continues for Watseka, Fowler and Kentland With 70 MPH Winds

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning continues for Watseka, Illinois; Fowler and Kentland, Indiana, until 12:15 p.m. CDT Tuesday, with the storm capable of producing wind gusts up to 70 mph.
The warning also covers Morocco, Brook, Iroquois, Remington, Earl Park, Otterbein and surrounding communities. Pea-sized hail is also possible.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Lakeshore Flood Warning for the Chicago shoreline and the Lake and Porter County shorelines in Indiana due to large air-pressure changes associated with the squall line.
Officials warn of significant and rapid water-level fluctuations, potentially exceeding 3 feet within 30 minutes, along with strong currents, water rushing onto beaches and possible damage at marinas.
Beaches and marinas along the affected Lake Michigan shoreline may remain unsafe through the afternoon, even after the thunderstorms have moved out.
