Willow Run Airport LITE by JetSet Designs – Threshold — No Money Mondays

Official response and confirmed impact

Willow Run is, perhaps, particularly interesting for those who like to fly cargo flights.

The airport is a hub for 747 operator Kalitta Air, Kalitta Charters, and USA Jet, among others, and has seen its fair share of unusual aircraft over the years.

Traffic today is a good mix of DC-9s, 727s, MD-80s, 747s, even Metroliners, and CRJs.

It’s worth noting that JetSet Designs Willow Run is not a custom, from-the-ground-up airport; instead, it is built on top of default scenery, enhanced to a higher-quality standard, using existing X-Plane assets.

Buildings have therefore been recreated, primarily, using Laminar Research’s included objects, placed to resemble their real-world counterparts as closely as possible.

Incident under investigation

This week, we’re headed to Michigan, in the United States, to take a look at Willow Run Airport (IATA/FAA: YIP, ICAO: KYIP) by JetSet Designs, for X-Plane 12.

It forms part of what JetSet Designs calls their “LITE” scenery line.
