At least 8 injured after gathering ends in shooting in Sanford

Officers responded just before 10 p.m. to the area of Poplar Avenue and West 10th Street.

Investigators say a group was in the street for what they describe as a “family gathering” when suspects started shooting. Police arrived within minutes and secured the scene.
