Streamer blasted for ‘tone deaf’ Amazon plane crash selfie at MIA

Popular Los Angeles-based streamer “Chicken Andy” is under fire for appearing to cross the clout-chasing line of acceptability by posing for a selfie with the wreckage of Amazon’s fatal plane crash.

Posted to his X account, Ryan can be seen in the foreground posing with a woman in front of the downed plane with the caption “#NewProfilePic.” While the initial post on his page only garnered a few dozen comments, with some calling the post “tone deaf” among other insults (and some compliments), the backlash was considerably more severe once other accounts reposted the photo.

A repost by the streamer/influencer-following account Dexerto gained nearly 2 million views and hundreds of mostly insulting comments.
