Miami-Dade Fire Rescue says a cargo aircraft that overran the runway at Miami International Airport struck multiple vehicles near the airport, as more than 60 fire-rescue units responded to the scene Sunday afternoon.
The aircraft, identified in earlier reports as 21 Air Flight 7598, a Boeing 767-300F operating for Amazon Prime Air, had arrived from San Juan before overrunning the runway.
More Than 60 Fire-Rescue Units Respond
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said more than 60 units were dispatched to the incident.
Firefighters arrived to find the aircraft on fire, with heavy flames and smoke showing.
Crews began extinguishing the fire while also assessing patients at the scene.
