Earthquake no and Parts of Southern California Overnight

An earthquake struck near Compton, California, shortly before 12:15 a.m. Sunday, with shaking reported across several parts of Southern California.

The U.S. Geological Survey measured the quake at magnitude 3.2. It was centered about 2.5 miles south-southeast of Compton at a depth of nearly 8 miles.

Shaking felt across Southern California

Residents reported weak to light shaking across parts of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Diego counties.

Reports extended from Universal City in the north to Santee in the south, Murrieta to the east and Hermosa Beach to the west.

No major damage reported

There were no immediate reports of injuries or significant damage following the earthquake.
