Police searching for a stabbing suspect — Lower Merion Township, Delaware

LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, Delaware — On Sunday evening police were searching for a man sought in stabbing in Lower Merion Township near the Delaware County line, with a victim found in a vehicle a few minutes later on Interstate 476.

There was a command post in the 7-Eleven lot on County Line Road in Lower Merion.

No official details were yet available but Delaware County 911 radio showed: About 5:30 p.m., police were notified about stabbing victim in a vehicle in an incident that started in Lower Merion.

A vehicle was stopped on the highway with a stabbing victim, with multiple wounds. Numerous police units then converged on the area of Bryn Mawr Hospital.

A description of the perpetrator was a light-skinned bearded Black male about 40 years old wearing a white T-shirt with blood on it.

Further details were not yet available. The condition of the victim was not known.
