Aubrey Abrakasa Jr. Murder: SFPD Renews Appeal 20 Years After Teen Was Killed
Aubrey Abrakasa Jr. was 17 years old when he was shot multiple times and killed at the intersection of Grove and Baker streets in San Francisco on August 14, 2006. Nearly 20 years later, police are again asking the public to help solve his murder.
$250,000 Reward Offered in Cold Case
The San Francisco Mayor’s Office has authorized a reward of up to $250,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for Aubrey’s killing.
Investigators have not publicly identified or arrested a suspect in the case.
Aubrey’s Mother to Honor Homicide Victims
Aubrey’s mother, Paulette Brown, will hold an event recognizing homicide victims at Grove and Baker streets at 3 p.m. Friday, August 14.
Brown has spent years advocating for justice for her son and supporting other families affected by unsolved murders. SFPD investigators will attend Friday’s event.

Anyone with information about Aubrey’s murder can contact the SFPD Homicide Detail. Anonymous tips may be submitted by calling 415-575-4444 or texting TIP411 with “SFPD” at the beginning of the message.
Police said people providing information may remain anonymous, including those with previous arrests or convictions.
