Newton Longville Explosion: Man Dies After Buckinghamshire Home Destroyed

A man in his 60s has died after a massive explosion and fire destroyed a home in Newton Longville, Buckinghamshire.
Emergency services were called to Cobb Hall Road at around 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, following reports of an explosion, a fire and the collapse of a residential property.
The seriously injured man was taken to hospital for treatment but has now died, Thames Valley Police confirmed on Thursday.
Police described his death as a tragic development and said their thoughts were with his family and friends.
Thames Valley Police is conducting a coronial investigation alongside the Health and Safety Executive to determine what caused the explosion and the subsequent collapse of the property.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the blast.
