Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Watseka, Illinois and Fowler, Indiana; Tornado Also Possible

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Watseka and Gilman, Illinois, and Fowler, Indiana, until 3:15 a.m. CDT Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm is capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and nickel-sized hail, while forecasters warn that a tornado is also possible.

The warning covers several communities across eastern Illinois and western Indiana, including Chatsworth, Cullom, Ashkum, Milford, Wellington, Kentland, Brook and Oxford.

Approximately 37,590 people are within the warning area. Residents should move indoors, stay away from windows and be prepared to take tornado shelter immediately if a Tornado Warning is issued.
