Houthis claim missile attack on Saudi oil tanker in Red Sea

SANAA, Yemen — Yemen’s Houthi movement claimed it carried out a missile attack on the Saudi oil tanker Wafaa in the Red Sea, according to Al Jazeera, citing the group’s military spokesperson, Yahya Saree.

Saree said the tanker was targeted with ballistic missiles as part of what the Houthis described as their “blockade for blockade” campaign.

The Houthi spokesperson did not specify when the attack took place, and Saudi authorities have not confirmed the claim. There has also been no independent verification of the reported attack or any damage to the vessel.
