Official response and confirmed impact

So President Trump seems to believe on a comparative level China is a better trading partner than Canada!? Any thinking person would disagree with that.

Canada-U.S. dealings, I’ll admit, haven’t been perfect, but I will say Canada has and is a more trusted ally than China any day!

(Trump’s recent charm offensive with Xi was a little odd)

The big lie of Alberta separation is that Alberta’s problems are caused by Ottawa, but in fact Alberta’s problems are caused by several decades of gross mismanagement by Conservative governments.

Instead of separating from Canada, a much better option for Alberta would be to separate from its Conservative government, who have squandered hundreds of billions of dollars of oil wealth from the Heritage Fund, eliminated the Alberta advantage, and are actively undermining health care and education.

(No question, smarter spending from our provincial government would help)

(Re: ‘Alberta moves forward with Calgary-Edmonton high-speed rail plan,’ calgarysun.com) Instead of a high-speed rail service connecting Calgary and Edmonton, I would like to suggest a provincially owned and operated bus service instead.
