Covington bar to keep liquor license, increase security after stabbing

A Covington bar will keep its liquor license and increase security on some days after a fight turned into a stabbing outside the establishment earlier this month.

The Covington Alcoholic Beverage Control Board met on Wednesday to discuss Zazou Covington, a pub and restaurant on West Sixth Street.

It came after a fight between a customer and an employee that involved a knife was caught on camera earlier this month, with both suffering injuries that required hospitalization.

Officials decided that the bar will remain open and Zazou will be required to have officers working security details during certain days and times for safety.
