James Wilder III, 60, of Ballwin faces three counts of sodomy and first-degree attempted statutory sodomy.

The three separate female victims were under the ages of 17 and 14.

Wilder is accused of touching the genitals of two victims between 2005 and 2008, and that between Aug. 1, 1995 and Sept.

21, 1996, he engaged in sex acts with another victim.

Wilder was a high school cross-country coach who also served as a physical education teacher at Sperreng Middle School.

Charges and court proceedings

Prosecutors in St. Louis County have charged a former Lindbergh School teacher and coach with sexual abuse against former students dating back 30 years.

Authorities are holding an afternoon news conference to address the charges. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
