One person dead after shooting on Goldfloss Street in Winston-Salem

Winston-Salem police are investigating a deadly shooting on Goldfloss Street.

Police said officers responded to the 1000 block of Goldfloss Street just after midnight Sunday and found 26-year-old Pedro Pablo Portorreal-Benzant suffering from a gunshot wound.

EMS took Portorreal-Benzant to a local medical facility, where he later died from his injuries, according to police. Police are investigating his death as a homicide.
