Argument causes deadly crash on I-65 North in Nashville, Tennessee, police say

The passenger of a Toyota Camry was killed in an early Sunday morning crash on Interstate 65 North after getting into a fight with the driver.

Police said 24-year-old Austin Franklin was involved in an argument with the 20-year-old driver as they were driving on Briley Parkway approaching the split at I-65 and Dickerson Pike.

During the argument, police said the female driver reported Franklin grabbed the steering wheel and caused the car to turn to the right and leave the roadway.

Police said the car traveled down an embankment, crossed all lanes of I-65 North and struck a concrete median.
