Fatal crash kills Vidalia man

A 55-year-old man from Vidalia was killed in a fatal crash on Hwy 131, Louisiana State Police Troop E reported Sunday, September 27.

Troopers learned of a crash in Concordia Parish Saturday morning and responded to the scene just before noon, at 11:49 a.m.

At the scene, they determined that a Corvette was headed south on Hwy 131 when, for reasons not yet known, the car left the road, ran into a fire hydrant and crashed into several trees.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car, was fatally injured and died at the scene.
