Police search for BMW drivers after Sanford shooting, community prayer event planned

Sanford police are asking for the community’s help as they continue investigating a shooting that injured several people at Coastline Park nearly a week ago.

Police are asking anyone who attended the Sept. 19 celebration of life at the park to check their photos and videos for two BMW 5 Series vehicles.

Investigators are specifically trying to determine who was driving a black or white four-door BMW 530i seen in the area.

Sanford police said witnesses saw two vehicles driving around the gathering within the hour before the shooting.
