Robeson Community College selected for national hazmat training program — Lumberton, North Carolina

LUMBERTON, North Carolina — LUMBERTON, N.C. — Robeson Community College’s Emergency Services Training Center has been selected as one of 15 sites nationwide for a hazardous materials training initiative aimed at helping communities prepare for emergencies.

The free training is offered through the Partners in Training, or PIT Crew, program.

It is a joint initiative from the National Volunteer Fire Council and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.

The program uses a train-the-trainer approach, giving participants information and resources they can bring back to their departments and communities.
