UPDATE: 8 Shot, 1 Killed at Taunton, Massachusetts House Party

Eight people were shot, including one fatally, during a house party in Taunton, Massachusetts, early Sunday morning, authorities confirmed.
The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. at a home on Weir Street near Sumner Street, where police responded to reports of gunfire and multiple victims.
22-year-old man killed
Authorities identified the victim who died as Zirovick Depina, 22, of Brockton.
Seven other people were hospitalized after the shooting. One of the surviving victims was reported to be in serious but stable condition. All eight victims are believed to be in their early 20s.
Large house party underway before shooting
Investigators said a large party was taking place at the Weir Street residence when the gunfire erupted.
Some victims were found at the scene, while others may have left and sought medical treatment separately.
Investigation underway
Taunton Police, Massachusetts State Police detectives and crime scene investigators are investigating what led to the shooting.
No suspect information or motive had been publicly announced at the time of publication.
