A stolen Cessna 172 approached the area surrounding Hungary’s Paks Nuclear Power Plant, prompting the military to scramble two Gripen fighter jets.

Plane Crash-Lands Near Gerjen

Radar detected the aircraft shortly after takeoff. It did not reach the nuclear facility and crash-landed minutes later in a field near Gerjen, damaging its landing gear and coming to rest on its side.
