Tornado Warning Issued for Towson, Randallstown and Pikesville, Maryland

A Tornado Warning is in effect for Towson, Randallstown and Pikesville, Maryland, until 4:45 p.m. EDT Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Radar has indicated a possible tornado within the warned area, which covers a heavily populated section of Baltimore County and surrounding communities, including Owings Mills, Woodlawn, Timonium and nearby areas.

Approximately 558,912 people, 122 schools and eight hospitals are within the warning zone. Pea-sized hail is also possible.

Residents in the warning area should take shelter immediately in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.
