Tornado Warning Continues for Baltimore, Columbia and Glen Burnie; Nearly 1 Million in Warning Area

A Tornado Warning remains in effect for Baltimore, Columbia and Glen Burnie, Maryland, until 4:45 p.m. EDT Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Radar has indicated a possible tornado, with the warning covering a densely populated area that also includes Catonsville, Elkridge, Dundalk, Rosedale, Woodlawn and Pine Orchard.

Approximately 978,675 people, along with 263 schools and 16 hospitals, are within the warning area. Pea-sized hail is also possible.

Residents across the affected portion of the Baltimore metropolitan area should take shelter immediately, preferably in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, away from windows.
