Fosterville store in Rutherford County a total loss after fire

A fire broke out at the old Fosterville store in Rutherford County destroying it. Rutherford County Fire Rescue responded to Fosterville Road at 6 p.m.

Fire response and evacuations

Friday for a building fire. They reported the fire to be throughout the building when crews arrived, and spreading to a nearby field and barn.

While firefighters were able to contain the fire from spreading further outside, the store was deemed a total loss, said RCFR.

Cause of fire under investigation

The Fire Marshal's Office under standard procedure is investigating the fire.
