An “active shooter” incident occurred at Kennedy Middle School Monday night, the Germantown Police Department said.
An officer with the department said no injuries occurred at the school and police have someone in custody. No other information was immediately available.
The officer asked that the public avoid the area around the school at N118 W15860 Williams Drive as police work to get the scene “under control.”
The Germantown School District released a statement at about 8:40 p.m. The district said the school is in lockdown and all students that were at the school are being transported to MacArthur Elementary. Parents should meet their children at MacArthur and parents should bring an ID.
