FALL RIVER, MA – July 13, 2025 – A devastating fire broke out at the Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility on Oliver Street in Fall River, prompting a General Alarm Fire and Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) declaration by authorities.
The fast-moving blaze left multiple residents trapped inside, with several suffering severe burn injuries. Emergency responders reported heavy fire conditions throughout the facility as they rushed to conduct rescues under extreme danger.
All off-duty Fall River Fire Department personnel were recalled to aid in the massive rescue and suppression effort. Multiple fire companies and EMS units responded to the scene, while an EMS task force was activated to manage the high number of victims.
