Two Killed in Early Morning Shooting on Indianapolis’ Northwest Side

INDIANAPOLIS — A deadly shooting in the early hours of Saturday morning has left two people dead, including a juvenile, on the northwest side of Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), officers responded around 3:50 a.m. on July 12 to reports of a person shot in the 5100 block of West 38th Street, near Lafayette Road.
Upon arrival, police discovered an adult male and a juvenile male inside a car, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical services transported the victims to nearby hospitals, where they were initially listed in critical condition. Authorities later confirmed that both succumbed to their injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and no information about suspects or motive has been released at this time. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
