Four Injured in Shooting on Indianapolis’ Far East Side

INDIANAPOLIS — Four people were injured in a shooting Sunday afternoon on the far east side of Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) said officers responded around 4:15 p.m. on July 27 to the 3900 block of Hornickel Drive after receiving a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found one victim who was described as “awake and breathing.”

Approximately an hour later, IMPD confirmed that three additional victims had arrived at Community East Hospital. Two of those individuals were reported to be in stable condition, while one remains in critical condition.

Authorities have not released any information about possible suspects or what led to the shooting.
