NCSBI, Person County Sheriff’s investigate deadly shooting in Rougemont

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Person County Sheriff's Office are investigating a fatal shooting in southern Person County on Helena Moriah Road in Rougemont.

Authorities said two people were shot. One person died, while the other was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

This is an ongoing investigation and will update once new information is released by the Person County Sheriff's and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
