Suspect faces attempted murder charge after shooting outside Moncks Corner Waffle House

A suspect in the early Saturday morning shooting outside of a Moncks Corner Waffle House is now facing charges, according to local police.

The Moncks Corner Police Department announced Saturday afternoon that Shanique Tywanda Brittain faces charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and pointing and presenting a firearm.

Brittain allegedly shot a woman outside of the restaurant in an altercation. She was taken into custody after police arrived around 3 a.m.

Saturday before charges were brought against her later that afternoon. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
