Zohran Mamdani was a prominent face at the New York Knicks’ championship parade this summer.

However, even the New York City mayor seems to be wincing at Knicks game ticket prices.

In an interview with NBC New York, Mamdani was asked whether he would attend the Knicks’ season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers on Oct. 20.

In response, Mamdani pointed to the expensive Madison Square Garden tickets. “Brother, I do not have $2,000 ready for that ticket.”

Even when asked about the Knicks’ championship prospects this season, Mamdani still talked about the tickets.

Mamdani’s cautious optimism appears warranted, as several teams have reloaded their lineups in hopes of dethroning the Knicks.
