Devils Lake man charged after standoff in Maddock, N.D

A Devils Lake man who barricaded himself in a home in Maddock, North Dakota on Wednesday is now charged with felony preventing arrest.

Arrest and charges

Lake Region Narcotics Task Force and Benson County Sheriff’s Office were looking for Brandon Mattern.

He had a warrant for possession of meth with intent to deliver with a firearm.

Mattern ignored commands to give himself up so officers went into the house and used PepperBall and bean bag guns to get him to surrender.
