Arrest made after attempted robbery, shooting near Civic Park at Hemisfair

A 19-year-old has been arrested after a man was shot during an attempted robbery near Civic Park at Hemisfair late Friday night.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, Charles Maverick Lenz is accused of trying to rob two men around 11:30 p.m. before shooting one of them in the face.

A second man was not injured. Police said officers located Lenz shortly after the shooting and found a firearm nearby.
