Teen charged in deadly Fuquay-Varina Zaxby’s shooting held without bond

– An 18-year-old Zaxby's employee charged with murder in a deadly shooting in Fuquay-Varina was ordered held without bond following his first court appearance in Wake County.

Police said Otis Johnson and 19-year-old Quanterius Elliott got into a physical altercation at the Zaxby's on 1341 N.

Main Street before Johnson fired a gun.

During Thursday's court appearance, Johnson's attorney argued that his client did not start the confrontation and described the case as an "exceptional case."
