Greater Manchester School Warns Parents After Man Seen Following and Recording Pupil

A school in Greater Manchester has warned parents to remain vigilant after a man was reportedly seen following and recording a pupil near the school.

The incident was reported on Clover Road in Timperley, close to Wellington School.

In a message sent to parents and carers, the school said the man was described as bald, in his fifties or sixties, wearing glasses and a dark tracksuit.

He was reportedly seen appearing to follow a student while recording them on his mobile phone.

The school said the incident had been reported to police, while staff positioned at the school gates had been alerted and asked to remain vigilant as pupils left the site.

Parents were also urged to speak with their children about the incident and to report any similar suspicious activity to police or the school.

No further details about the man’s identity or whether police have located him have yet been released.
