1 dead, 1 injured in NE Portland shooting; no arrests made

Two men were shot in Northeast Portland’s Parkrose neighborhood Tuesday night, and one of them died, police said.

Officers responding to a shooting call shortly after 9 p.m. arrived at a parking lot near Northeast Airport Way and Glenn Widing Drive and found the men who’d been shot, according to a Portland Police Bureau statement.

The men were taken to a nearby hospital, where one of them was declared dead. The other’s condition is not known at this time.

The shooter or shooters had fled the scene before officers arrived. No arrests have been made. The men who were shot have not been publicly identified.
